Private by design
Most converters upload your file to their servers. Ours read it inside your browser tab, so contracts, IDs and family photos stay on your device.
Fast, even on big files
There is no upload or download queue. A 50 MB PDF starts processing the moment you drop it, at the speed of your own computer.

Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Every tool on UtilityNest runs inside your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your PDFs, photos and archives are read and processed on your own device and are never sent to us or anyone else. Once a page has loaded, most tools keep working even if you go offline.
Is UtilityNest really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark on your results and no daily limit. The site is supported by ads, which is how it stays free.
Is there a file size limit?
We don't set one. Because processing happens on your device, the practical limit is your device's memory. Files of a few hundred megabytes work on most laptops; phones do best with smaller files.
Which browsers and devices work?
Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iPhone. A few heavy tools, such as OCR and large batch jobs, are faster on a computer.
Why should I trust a free tool site with private documents?
You don't have to trust us with them, because they never reach us. That is the main difference from most online converters, which upload your file to their servers to process it.
