TIFF to PDF

Turn TIFF scans into PDF documents. Every page of a multi-page TIFF is kept, black-and-white pages stay sharp, and nothing is uploaded.

How to use TIFF to PDF

  1. 1Drop one or more TIFF files into the box. Each file shows its page count and a preview.
  2. 2Put the files in order with the arrows or Sort by name, and rotate any that are sideways.
  3. 3Choose one combined PDF or one PDF per file.
  4. 4Pick the page size: Original scan size uses the DPI stored in the TIFF, or choose A4 or Letter.
  5. 5Click Create PDF and download the PDF (or a ZIP of PDFs).

Made for scanned documents

  • All pages kept: a 20 page TIFF becomes a 20 page PDF, in the original order.
  • Real paper size: with Original scan size, a 300 DPI A4 scan becomes an A4 page, because the page size is calculated from the resolution saved in the file.
  • Sharp black-and-white pages: 1-bit scans and faxes are stored losslessly, so text does not get blurry JPG artifacts, and files stay small.
  • Batch: combine many TIFFs into one PDF, or get one PDF per TIFF in a ZIP, named after each file.

Quality settings

High keeps full resolution and stores color and grayscale pages as 92% JPG. Smaller PDF limits color pages to 2000 pixels at 75% quality, which shrinks photo-heavy scans a lot while staying readable. Black-and-white pages are always kept at full resolution. To reduce the PDF further afterwards, use Compress PDF.

Limits

The PDF contains images of the pages, so text is not searchable or selectable (no OCR). Supported TIFFs include LZW, PackBits, Deflate, JPEG and CCITT Group 3/4 fax compression. Everything runs in your browser, so very large scans depend on your device memory.

Frequently asked questions

Does it convert all pages of a multi-page TIFF?

Yes. Every page becomes a PDF page, and the file list shows how many pages each TIFF has before you start.

Can I merge several TIFF files into one PDF?

Yes. Add them all, set the order, and keep One combined PDF selected.

Will my fax or black-and-white scan stay sharp?

Yes. Pure black-and-white pages are stored losslessly instead of as JPG, so text stays crisp.

Why is the page size different from A4?

Original scan size uses the DPI saved in the TIFF. If the file has no DPI, 96 DPI is assumed. Choose A4 or Letter to force a standard paper size.

Is the PDF text searchable?

No. The pages are images. Use an OCR tool if you need selectable text.

Are my scans uploaded?

No. The PDF is built in your browser and your files never leave your device.
