How to use SVG to PNG

  1. 1Drop one or more SVG files into the box.
  2. 2Pick 1x, 2x, 3x or 4x, or type an exact width in pixels. The output size is shown before you convert.
  3. 3Choose PNG, JPG or WebP, and a transparent, white, black or custom background.
  4. 4Click Convert, then download one image or all as a ZIP.

Choosing the right size

An SVG has no fixed resolution, so you decide how many pixels the PNG gets. Scale multiplies the size written in the SVG: 2x is right for sharp icons on high density screens, and 4x suits print or slides. Width sets an exact pixel width, such as 512 for an app icon or 1200 for a social image, and the height follows the aspect ratio.

Because the vector is drawn directly at the target size, edges stay sharp at any scale instead of being blown up from a small image.

Backgrounds and formats

PNG and WebP keep transparency, which is what you want for logos placed on other designs. Choose a background color when the image will go somewhere that cannot show transparency, or pick JPG for the smallest file with a solid background.

Limits

  • SVGs that load external images or web fonts are drawn without them, because browsers block outside resources in this mode. Convert text to outlines in your design tool for exact results.
  • SVGs without a width or height use their viewBox size, or 300 x 150 if neither exists.
  • Very large outputs (over 16384 pixels on a side) are refused because browsers cannot draw them.

Frequently asked questions

Will the PNG have a transparent background?

Yes, by default. You can also choose white, black or any custom color.

How do I get a high resolution PNG from an SVG?

Pick 4x or type a large width such as 2000 pixels. The SVG is rendered at that size, so the result stays sharp.

Why does my text look different?

Fonts that the SVG loads from the web or expects to be installed may not be available while rendering. Convert text to paths before exporting the SVG.

Can I convert many SVG icons at once?

Yes. Drop a whole set, convert them at the same scale, and download a ZIP.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The SVG is rendered by your own browser.
